The SouthCoast Emergency Response Fund fulfills the obligation of the Community Foundation as the philanthropic institution best suited to rapidly attract and deploy resources for emergency needs for our region. The Fund is currently serving communities and organizations disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
|Donate||SCCF Staff Directed Fund
The SCCF Staff Directed Fund will make an annual grant(s) as determined by the current staff of the Community Foundation. The process to determine the annual grant(s) will be overseen by the current Director of Finance and Administration (or most senior financial staff person) and will engage the staff, excluding the President (or most senior executive). Each year, the Director of F&A will select a committee of three staff (rotating membership annually so as to ensure broad participation) who will make the grant(s) recommendation. Grant(s) will seek to be in accord with the strategic priorities of the Community Foundation and must adhere to any other current policies.

This endowment will support, in perpetuity, John’s passion for innovation, growth, and sustainability for communities that are democratic, fair, inclusive, and respectful, all hallmarks of John’s transformational leadership. Grants from this permanent fund will be awarded using our existing Grants Committee.

The Leadership Equity Fund of the SouthCoast Community Foundation was created to support non-profit organizations working to end racism, who are run by leaders who identify as Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC), and to support the professional development of employees of nonprofit organizations who identify as BIPOC.
|Donate||Carlin Lynch Scholarship Fund
The Carlin Lynch Scholarship Fund was established to provide financial aid to students who are graduates (or graduating seniors) of Dartmouth High School, who will be attending an accredited two or four year college or university, or an accredited technical education program in a specific field relating to an occupation leading to employment. Students who are making outstanding progress in their approved program [in the top 25% of their class/cohort] are eligible to annually re-apply for aid during that time. The financial aid will be awarded on the basis of 40% scholastic performance (academics and co-curricular activities), 20% financial need and 40% on evidence that candidates have demonstrated the resilience to deal with a significant obstacle in their life that has challenged their efforts to achieve to their potential in school.

Scholarships will be awarded to graduating Oliver Ames High School students who exemplify the Easton Public School core value of respecting and valuing diversity.
|Donate||David C. DuBois Scholarship Fund
The David C. DuBois Scholarship Fund was established to honor the legacy and memory of David DuBois. The fund will distribut financial awards to deserving students who are enrolled and pursuing a post-secondary school course of study in a maritime field, such as marine surveying, marine transportation, marine engineering, naval architecture, naval engineering, marine safety, or environmental protection.

The Eric C. Johnson Memorial Fund was established to offer scholarships to members of Apponequet's senior class who are planning to continue their education at a college or trade school. These scholarships are given in his memory to support members of the community he loved.

The Gosnold Community Scholarship Fund was established to distribute scholarships to recipients have have contributed to the Gosnold community and who has demonstrated financial need to support educational pursuits.

The Gregory G. Misodoulakis Scholarship Fund was created to provide annual college scholarships to students who meet the following criteria: Student has performed volunteer work, student has contributed to Apponequet school community, student may show interest in History/Education and Liberal Arts, Student shows commitment to academic achievement, and open to Lakeville and Freetown senior based on financial need.

This fund was established to provide scholarships to graduating Town of Somerset students who are attending an accredited two or four year institution in the fall. The criteria used for selecting recipients shall be financial need and academic performance.
|Donate||Dr. Frederick M. Kalisz Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Kalisz Memorial Scholarship was created to award exemplary work by New Bedford area high school seniors who reside in New Bedford in pursuit of college study in the fields of Political Science, Public Policy, Organizational Leadership or Management, Business Administration, Sustainability, or related majors. This scholarship is being awarded in memory of and to honor the late Dr. Frederick M. Kalisz, Jr. who lived his passion for public service and higher education throughout his life. This donation is also a gift to the people in the City of New Bedford who directly benefit from all the public service organizations in the community.

The Creative Southcoast Initiative (formerly Creative Commonwealth Initiative) supports arts and culturally focused nonprofits in Fall River and New Bedford through direct grants and capacity-building programs. With a focus on organizations serving youth as well as culturally diverse and immigrant communities, the Community Foundation is building upon a long-term partnership with the Barr Foundation, working closely with nonprofits to expand access to and increase participation in arts and culture in the region.
